The Clinical Coordinator position oversees clinical and supportive services provided toclients and their families through supervision and evaluation of direct service staff. Inaddition, the position monitors and insures the quality and compliance of all programrelated written documentation. The Clinical Coordinator also interviews, hires and trainsstaff members who will be effective in upholding and implementing the mission of theagency.The day to day functions of a Clinical Coordinator may include meeting with severalstaff members for clinical supervision/client centered consultation, reviewing progressnotes, treatment plans and closing summaries as well as documenting and calculatingproductivity/billable hours. The Clinical Coordinator will also complete program reports,evaluate staff, attend meetings, serve on committees and participate as a trainer foragency training. Fielding frequent questions regarding program protocols anddocumentation guidelines are also components of this position. The ClinicalCoordinator needs to be flexible and available to respond to calls from staff dealing withclients in crisis. The abilities to multi-task, cope with frequent changes and "go with theflow" are essential in this position.
Job Function:
Oversees the service delivery system and provides clinical supervision of thecommunity, school and home-based mental health therapists and counselors who provide direct service toclients and their families.
Job Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
-Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Workor related field (LCSW or LCPC required)
-Supervisory experience and experienceand/or other training preparing individual to work with multi-problem families and youth
Skill Requirements:
-Thorough knowledge of community resources and services
-Effective supervisory skills
-Ability to organize and execute responsibilities in anindependent manner
-Ability to work within a team framework
-Maturity and sensitivity tocultural and individual differences in families
-Ability to handle job related matters in aprofessional, diplomatic, and confidential manner
Physical Requirements:
-Hearing and speaking ability, which allows for effective oralcommunication of information
-Physical and emotional stamina to effectively handle job-related issues
-Ability to transport self to various locations
