Clinical Supervisor of Residential

Salary Range:$46,800.00-$74,860.00

This position involves providing direct oversight and supervision of clinical services to children placed in Residential Treatment, as well as direct service to an assigned caseload, as needed.  The position also includes coordinating services and communicating effectively with other treatment team members within Children’s Home, and external individuals and agencies.  Additionally, the position requires the flexibility to address issues as they arise and assist in emergencies or staff shortages, as well as the ability to complete the regular requirements and schedule. 

Job Function:
Oversees and participates in service delivery system and supervises therapists in compliance with DCFS policies and procedures, program contracts, and with a priority for child welfare best practice criteria. 

Job Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- LCPC or LCSW preferred
- Supervisory experience and experience and/or other training preparing individual to work with families and youth involved with DCFS
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Maturity and sensitivity to cultural and individual differences in clients, staff, foster parents, and families served
- Must possess effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a treatment team
- Ability to handle job related manners in a professional, diplomatic and confidential manner
- A thorough knowledge of community resources and services
- Effective supervisory skills
- Ability to organize and execute responsibilities in an independent manner
Hearing and speaking ability which allows for effective oral communication of information
- Ability to physically transport self and clients to various locations
- Ability to pass DCFS driving requirements
- Ability to physically restrain clients
- Physical and emotional stamina to effectively handle job related issues and stress
