Intern- Foster Care Therpaist

The Foster Care Therapy Intern will gain a wealth of experience in providing clinical services to individuals with a complex array of psychosocial needs involved with the child welfare system. The intern will begin by observing more tenured staff as they assess, treat and coordinate treatment services for youth and adults. During the course of the internship experience, the Foster Care Therapy Intern will gradually take on more responsibilities with increasing autonomy, commensurate with the intern’s readiness to do so. The intern will grow into conducting assessments, collaborating with youth and adults in developing treatment plans and communicating client needs to caseworkers and other professionals. As part of the internship experience, the intern would attend ongoing trainings and meetings as well as engage in weekly clinical supervision.




Education and Experience: Must be currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or closely-related field.
